Furniture Stripping

Stripping Furniture is a tricky business. There are no shortcuts to a satisfactory stripping job.

 

Furniture it is always stripped by hand using  a specially formulated plant extract chemical stripper that will not damage the timber.

 

We never Dip Strip furniture!

 

The prcoess can take quite a few hours. The drying time and release/ evaporation of the chemicals can a few days. We take great care to use as many safe and environmentally freindly products as possible. The stripper we use is safe once neutraised with water so the disposal of waste doeas not harm the environment.

 

Once the stripping process is complete some customers may wish to view the items at this stage to help choose a suitable colour and finish.

 

All items are hand sanded in preparation for polishing.
